Religion is a passing phase in the development of human consciousness. It is temporary and necessary to help pull people out of the fallen, mind absorbed state of the human condition. It is a helpful tool, but it is not the Truth, and it can only serve you so far.
There is only one Truth, and it comes from within each and every one of us. The founding master of all religion knows and lives this. But the master did not make religion. Religion is made by those who don’t know, who come by the master and are affected by his or her presence, sometimes an instant realisation of God. Therefore, the master is revered, and rightly so from one point of view. But the true master doesn’t want or need to be worshipped. He or she is simply living the truth of what is known and cannot help but be the influence that they are.
The true master wants only for people to ‘get it’, and get on with their lives in joy and harmony. They do not want to be followed, and Jesus did not want it either, but it could be no other way. Jesus wants you to realise what he did, that’s all. And in the first place it does not involve studying and arguing over big books of interpretation about his life.
The Death and Mission of Jesus Wednesday,27 February, 08

This is a hot subject and there is good comment on it here at the moment. But there is so much more to the story than is being discussed in the commentary on this post.
Yes, Jesus died in the way that he did in order to leave an effective and powerful impression in the human psyche, as John so accurately expresses in his post. But something that I do not think is understood, and is important to understand, is that he also had to die.
From a consciousness point of view, Jesus simply had to die. With the knowing that he had, being amongst the people – the density of the consciousness in 30 AD – was a slow and painful experience for him much of the time. Its just plain physics – you can’t have a high vibration around a slower one for long if each is to maintain its integrity. Jesus was kind of ‘beating his head against the wall’, so to speak trying to get through to the people. It was a skilful move for him to create his death in the way that he did, to maximise the impact of his message and time spent on earth.
Also, because Jesus entered the earth in a pure, or virginal state, which is to say with no previous experience in the earth matter, his time spent incarnate effected his being, gave him some past, and attached him to the story here on earth. But his overriding wisdom and knowledge of the divine gives him the strength to continue his work. Not until the majority of mankind gets the truth of his message can he rest. In this way, his death was in fact he beginning of his true mission.
Can Someone Please Tell Me? Tuesday,26 February, 08

Can someone please tell me, and is there agreement (because if there isn’t agreement, then it cannot be the truth), what exactly will it look like when Christ returns? Please, no theories here, just the facts. Will Jesus actually remanifest, and take his throne? And if so, where will that be? And then what?
Fun Manifestation Tuesday,26 February, 08

On the weekend I went cycle riding with my beloved woman. It was a beautiful day, clear and sunny after many days of rain, and seizing the opportunity we decided to go for a ride. We had no fixed agenda. Perhaps the beach, and certainly some tea in one of the many delightful cafes in the city. But other than that, we were just freewheeling.
A few kilometres into the ride we found ourselves cruising past a magnificent automobile showroom, and my eyes feel upon the smooth lines of a new black BMW M3. A little further on I spotted another beautiful car in the lot outside, a car that I had been encouraging my partner to look at because I thought it would suit her.
We dismounted to take a closer look at this marvellous specimen of a vehicle. It certainly had called to us, and in the next moment we found ourselves on an hour-long test drive through the country. Although I had thought that the car might suit my partner, without hesitation she said ‘you drive’, and with just as much absence of hesitation I jumped into the driver’s seat and cautiously pulled out from the car yard. I think it took me at least only several nanoseconds to trust the car and feel comfortable. I put my foot down… and wow! What spirit!
We had a great time, and returned to the dealer with the biggest grins, whilst also attempting to remain not too interested (that’s never good for negotiations). Turns out that that very day, the car had been reduced by $8,000 to a very attractive selling price.
It’s a funny thing. I have been warming up to the idea of purchasing a new vehicle, but had no intentions that day to actually buy one let alone even look. But this car moved me, moved with me.
The next day I bought it, and I was then told the history of the vehicle. It turns out that a local fellow who lived very simply and with little money frequented this particular car dealership often, marvelling over the fine automobiles they displayed. The sales manager often offered for him to test drive his dream vehicle, but the man always replied, “I’d have to win the lottery before I could even look at buying a car like that”. Well don’t you love it, he came back a few months after that having won substantial money in a lottery and bought the car immediately (and a few for his mates too!). This made me feel even better to hear this story, and in it also explained to me the ‘good vibes’ the car emanated.
The point of this story I am telling is that I feel this car is a gift to me, a manifestation of my intention. I had only just begun the process of looking for a vehicle in my mind, not knowing at all the specific make or model I was after. And then in the next moment, and with no effort at all, there was the right car calling out to me. That evening after test driving it – the evening before buying it – I considered all the practical aspects of the purchase. But all along I just knew that this car was destined for me. It felt right. No matter what doubts my mind wanted to come in with, all along it simply felt right. Life wanted me to have this car, or another way to say it, is that this car reflected back to me the feeling I had around the idea of ‘owning’ a new vehicle, and the creative phase could complete itself. The feeling inside me was the guide all along, the magnet that attracted the manifestation to me. It was the feeling sensation of God working in me, through me, and as me, to create a beautiful experience. An easy and enjoyable experience. An experience of life in God’s Kingdom.

Personal Growth and Evolution Saturday,23 February, 08

I often hear people talk about ‘the spiritual path’, and I always ask myself when I hear that, ‘what does that mean to them?’
There are two things going for us humans with regard to this, and I think it is worth hearing about, or at least it’s a little bit interesting.
There is no such thing as spiritual growth really. Spirit just Is, it does not grow or shrink, it is just ever-present. What does grow or change are the creations of spirit, and also, the awareness people gain around who or what they are in relation to that process.
The later – the awareness people gain about themselves – is personal growth, and the former – the fact that things change and grow is evolution.
Personal growth has an end, whereas evolution does not. The end of personal growth, is freedom from the human condition. It is enlightenment. Every therapy, process, religion and belief system is a part of this process of returning home to the simple truth of Being. It certainly is an end – the end of suffering – and then it is the beginning of the real life full of eternal joy, wonder, and creativity, as one aligns with the universal mechanism of evolution itself.
I often hear it said to me that if we knew the truth – the mystery of the universe – then we would have no further reason or purpose for living, that somehow the game would be over, and things would become predictable and boring. This is so not true.
The mystery of the universe will always be, it never gets boring because there is always a surprise around the corner. But what can be discovered and understood is the mechanism of the universe, for the workings of it are the workings of the most incredible machine of all time. The mechanism that brings things into existence is in fact a time machine – God’s time machine. And like any machine, it can be understood. But that does not mean that everything becomes predictable and boring. This time machine of God can manifest anything at any time, within the realm of its own universal experience. This last statement, if you read it closely, speaks directly to the relationship between creationism and evolution, but more about that in the next post…..

I wrote a post a while back titled ‘A Perfect World’. As it is with language, words can often be misunderstood and interpreted by others in a way that is not intended by the author. I want to clarify the way in which I am using the word perfect. When I say that the world is perfect, it is more in the sense of things being ‘right’, for when we are able to pull back from the world deeply enough, high enough, it is possible to see the order of it, and the fact that it cannot be any other way than it is right now. Of course, it may not be to your liking, but that is not what I am saying.
For us to even just in the slightest way accept that things are the way they are and its Ok, we can actually then begin to bring about more pleasant event in the world. Perhaps you have heard it said that ‘what you resist, persists’, so if we truly do want a beautiful world, it is our responsibility to begin accepting the way things are, not getting upset about them, and then focusing our attention on what is truly good in the world.
On Being Human Thursday,21 February, 08

I have a friend who has spent many years of his life struggling to gain enlightenment. He is a simple and beautiful man, and he spends much of his time alone and amongst nature. He prides himself on having transcended the mind and entered a relatively rare and special state of simply ‘Being’. He is mostly content in his life, but there is something still missing, and a quiet sadness lingers in his aura.
I tell you of my friend only to demonstrate the point that being Human is something far more divine than simply being, as the butterflies, birds, and all the rest of the animals do. For God gave Mankind dominion in the Garden, and it was no accident. My friend, in his quest for enlightenment, has aligned himself so much with the natural world, that unbeknownst to him he has attached himself to it and everything that it represents, and consequently missed the point of Being Human.
To detach from the thinking mind is necessary for us to reclaim this promised place in the Garden, and it is a very difficult and challenging, yet ultimately unavoidable undertaking. It can take years or lifetimes to do it, and when it is achieved…it is still not the end of the road as far as enlightenment is concerned.
After detachment from the mind comes detachment from that detachment, for in the process of detaching from the mind the mind itself tricks us once again into attaching to the process and result. Such is the nature of mind and its dark side.
But the mind in essence, is beautiful. It is what allows us our creativity, and makes us distinctly human. The only problem with the mind is that it has taken over our lives. It thinks that it is the boss, but no, God is the boss always, and when that alignment is re-established, the mind can once again function in the way God intended so that Man can then truly stand proud in His image.
Nature is beautiful, because it is made by God and has never fallen out of alignment with It. The natural creatures and creations of the earth can be very powerful teachers to us as reminders of the immediacy and simplicity of Being. Yet if you attach yourself to it, you will end up just as beautiful, but ultimately just as creatively ineffectual as the butterfly, and miss the whole point of Being Human.
The Purpose of Living Wednesday,20 February, 08

It must the one question that everybody at some time in their lives asks themselves, “What is the purpose of living?”, “Why am I here?”, or “What’s it all about?” Such is the nature of the enquiring mind, or the unpleasantness of disturbing emotions that will sometimes lead us to begin asking such questions.
The purpose of living is to enjoy yourself. That’s all, it’s that simple. But somehow this is not sufficient information for the enquiring mind. Surely it’s got to be a lot more involved than that?
I put it to you, and it’s well worth the effort, that if you look at your life and the things that you do for long enough, you will see that the underlying motivation is toward enjoying yourself and your life. Even, for example, if you presently work at a job that is not enjoyable, if you have a deeper and honest look, you will find that you are working for a reason – to make money to then go and do what you want in your life, even if that is just to feed yourself, for isn’t it enjoyable to be fed?
I have never ever heard anybody say, “I want to go out and suffer in my life”. How ridiculous, and yet that is what we often get, isn’t it?
The purpose of living is to enjoy yourself. Whatever interests you in life, what ever shines your light and is enjoyable to you is also the place you are most required to be. For this is the Kingdom of God. You are cheating yourself and the world by not enjoying yourself, and such irresponsibility only contributes further to the suffering in this world. But it takes great courage in these times to stand and say, “This is who I am, this is what I love to do, and this is now what I will do in my life”. And yet the moment that you do, you begin to invite all kinds of support to help you in your journey. Without such action things will continue to go around and around in the same old way, with you at the centre always hoping or thinking that in the future it will be different, that one day it will be better. But it won’t. Things don’t work like that.
God wants only for you to enjoy yourself. Be brave now. Do something that you enjoy.
Jesus was a Psychic Monday,18 February, 08

Life is not all that it appears to be. The appearance of things out there in the world is only ever the end result of a creative process, not unlike the way in which a movie projected on the theatre screen creates an illusion of reality for us to experience.
To use this analogy further, the movie that appears for us on the screen is of course far more than the simple appearance of it. The forces required to bring that movie into being include the work of many people over a period of time using a broad range of skills, knowledge and resources.
So too is it this way for how the world appears for us in our experience of living. Everything that appears for us in the world is just that – an appearance – and only a part of the whole reality. Immediately either side of this appearance, extending infinitely deep and infinitely far, lies the psychic world of creative forces that bring to us our experiences, our movie of life.
The psychic world, or simply the psyche, is often incorrectly understood to be something that occurs in the mind around the head or brain of the body. This is not true at all. The activity of the brain is mental, and although such activity does affect the psyche, the psyche is far deeper and universal than mere mental processes. It is the place where we create, experience, feel and come to know our life.
The structure and reality of existence is as follows; everything begins with the truth of what you are, the initiating intelligence in and behind all things. Expanding out from this arbitrary, non local point of being, is the beginning of the psychic world, reaching all the way out to a vibrational place of ‘appearance’, then further on and back out into itself, to the beginning again. That maybe difficult to picture, but it’s the best I can do with words.
It is true and beneficial to see it like this; The beginning of everything is you. Idea is developed in the lower psyche and moves toward manifestation as the Physical world. That manifestation is then experienced in the upper psyche as the energy returns to the beginning. As a result, you are a little wiser for the experience, and you can now use the experience to create new and better idea for the next moment, in an eternal cycle of growth. As the energy of idea approaches manifestation, it is always representative of the future, because it has not yet happened. And when it moves beyond the physical manifestation it is representative of the past, because it is over, it’s history.
The reality of what I have just described is that of a ‘creative phase’, and such phases are happening in everything all the time at varying speeds or vibrations throughout the entire universe. In essence, this is what life is all about, and somewhere in amongst all of that, you have a place, and the nature of your experiences in life are a direct reflection of this ‘place’ you are in. When you are functioning as God intended, all of what I just described lines up perfectly, and life flows as a creative expression of ideas moving through you in every moment. It is a very powerful and enjoyable way of being.
Jesus lived his life in this way. He occupied a very high place due to this absolute alignment with creative energy. He could actually feel the idea of his life, and his awareness extended out beyond the physical and into the psyche of past and future. In this way he was psychic, and had the power to influence and foresee event in his life. Yet these powers that he displayed are not magic tricks, and neither are they particularly special. Rare, yes. But when a person is completely aligned with God, they cannot help but do this as the natural flow of creative energy moves in them to order the world around them.
